Sharon Russell
My dearest mother...
I have loved your twinkling eyes, ever-ready smile & warm hugs all of my life. I am so blessed to have been your only daughter. You gave up so much for me when I was born just so I could walk & I will always appreciate your unselfishness strength & determination, I’m sure it couldn’t have been easy.
Growing up in our family was wonderful, long after I moved out my friends still stopped in to see you & dad, you were so special!
I will forever remember coming home from school each day to you & your home baking ...raised doughnuts with a bowl of sugar, your amazing poppy seed buns & cinnamon rolls, all made with love - I was so fortunate.
I will cherish every moment we spent together. We grew even closer while we visited Dad almost every day together when he was hospitalized at the end, lots of laughing and crying together……
You were always so incredibly lucky; you enjoyed many wonderful happy moments & gracefully endured many tragedies in your 91-½ years.
You told me many times how lonely you were without Dad & questioned why so many of the family from Ontario had already passed. You wondered why God kept you so long - I was so thankful he did.
I can just imagine you & dad holding hands once again & that makes me smile. You had so many others who were waiting for you up there including your first born, my dear brother Arnold, who I’m sure missed you so much.
I am eternally grateful that you went quickly & peacefully, on your own terms, surrounded by your loving family.
You were always an angel in my eyes, but I'm sure you're a real Angel now.
I will miss you forever my sweet mother, until we meet again!
Your loving daughter, Sharon xoxoxo
