I am so sorry to hear of Rose's passing. I first met Rose in Feb, 2006 on my first day of work as a Personal Support Worker. She had just come home from Hospital after her open heart surgery and needed help with activities of daily living. As Roses health improved Bills' began to decline and so I became a regular visitor to their home 3 days a week to care for both of them. I continued to care for Rose after Bills passing, up until she moved to Oshawa, Ont. Rose and Bill had become very dear friends of mine throughout the years.I remember Bill would lay upstairs on the sofa playing old tunes on his harmonica while I helped Rose with her bath. I attended both their 60th and 65th wedding anniversary celebrations. I've met their children, whom they admitted to be very proud of loved dearly. Rose attended my wedding in Dec. 2012 and I was pleased to have her say grace before our dinner. Rose has touched the hearts of so many people with her kind and generous ways. She shared her recipe for gingerbread cookies with me and I bake them every year around Christmas time. Since moving out of the area I've not had the opportunity to visit her as often as I'd have liked, but we did keep in touch by phone occasionally. Although I will not be there for her Memorial Service, Rose's memory will remain forever in my heart. Hugs to her family, Barbara Evans White, P.S.W. I have posted a picture taken Aug 2015.
