GILL, Cheryl Ann
Cheryl entered into rest peacefully on April 12, 2017 with family by her side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at 68 years young.
Beloved wife of Ron Hall. Cherished mother of Jeff (Louise) and loving grandma to Shae and Eva all of Didsbury, Alberta. Dear sister to Don (Carol), and special Aunt to Michelle and Jim. Auntie to nieces and nephews Fondly missed by sister-in-law Diane (George) of Tillsonburg, Ontario,
mother-in-law Nancy of Acton, Ontario, long time friend Annie (Kevin) of Campbell River, British Columbia.
Cheryl was a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse admired and respected among her peers and one who honored and was an asset to the nursing profession throughout her career. She demonstrated kindness, compassion and inspiration to all whom she encountered. Her ongoing learning and teaching throughout the years has enhanced the lives of many. Cheryl taught many P.S.W. students through the Durham District Catholic School Board leaving a legacy of knowledge and professionalism.
Cheryl fought a valiant battle with cancer over the past four years. Her strength, determination, and infectious giggle was admired by all. The family wishes to thank all her friends, and family. A special thanks to her best friend Nancy, her doctors, Nurse Joanie, P.S.W.’s, and the staff of the 4F Palliative Care floor at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their exemplary care.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity United Church, 116 Church Street, Bowmanville on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. Donations to a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated and thankfully received.
