GOMES, JOSE SILVEIRA – Born in Sao Jorge, Portugal; passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Jose, beloved husband of Elvira Gomes. Loving father of Isidro (Maria) Gomes, Filomena (Lennox Donnelly) Gomes, Jose (Agnes) Gomes, Antonio Gomes and Jacinta Gomes. Loved Avo of Christopher Gravito, Sandra Gomes, Eric Gomes, Alexander Gomes and Kyle Gomes. A visitation will be held at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Courtice Road, Courtice on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.
