]]> Shared Photos Sat, 17 Mar 2018 15:02:23 EDT Story shared: Saturday April 8th http://morrisfuneralchapel.frontrunnerpro.com/runtime/270957/runtime.php?SiteId=270957&NavigatorId=1276465&ItemId=2887329&op=tributeFamilyStories&viewOpt=dpaneOnly&gid=story6653467 Looking at all the pictures and listening to all the stories during the service yesterday; its amazingly wonderful how his life reached out to touch so so many people in so many places - from the organization of the Boys Club in Verdun Quebec; running a successfull Photography Studio, to Joining the Army/legion and Older adults association.  He also loved;, Archery, Camping, Cooking and Swimming, lawn and lane Bowling, Darts, Golf, and trains just to mention just a few of his activities.  He was blessed to have loved not one but two ladies totally.  Growing up he always had an open door policy for our friends when they came over to the house and loved to show them all the new gagets/toys/games.   If he sat on the side for any reason, he wanted to make sure the rest of us was having a good time and loved to be surrounded by people.  He loved and trained all our Brindle Boxers (Lady/Missy and Sheiba), and loved animals.  He was a gentle quiet soul; and his hugs were warm and inviting.

Our Dad - father - We will all miss him - but the greatest gift was given to all us us - his memory and lesson in life. God bless.

]]> Shared Photos Sat, 08 Apr 2017 08:01:55 EDT Story shared: Trains, Planes and Automobiles http://morrisfuneralchapel.frontrunnerpro.com/runtime/270957/runtime.php?SiteId=270957&NavigatorId=1276465&ItemId=2887329&op=tributeFamilyStories&viewOpt=dpaneOnly&gid=story6653406 IN A NUTSHELL - Dad loved hobbies.  He always wanted to learn more.  When we were young, he was into CB and Ham radios (when they first came in) to an endless stream of hobbies: built and flew precision flying kites; computer-controlled automated trains (took over the two rooms in our home) and large remote-controlled airplanes.  He joined every club there was from chinese cooking, wood carving, gemology, stain-glass classes.  He loved his fish tanks, bonzai plants.  He wasn't afraid to try anything that was new - from his computer, ipad, square-dancing and even played a little of the harmonica.  When he was younger, he was a competitive swimmer, ice skater and rollerblader.  He enjoyed and taught archery, and got his first belt in karate.  He worked hard and played hard and laughter that happened when he was around was contagious.

He ran a successful photography studio, created the Juniors Boys Club of Verdun and taught nuclear disaster classes where we had to sit through the videos.  He was also very active in the St.John's Ambulance where he volunteered on weekends and special occasions.
