HAMRE, Diane Shirley (nee:Markle) passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on April 6th 2017 in her 78th year. Former mayor of Clarington for 9 years, regional councilor for 11 years, and the first coordinator for Community Care, in the former town of Newcastle. Diane sat on numerous committees and boards throughout her career. Cherished wife and best friend to Rod for 60 years. Loving mother to Tim (Gina), Lisa (Mark), Ria, and the late Duff. Adored grammi to 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Diane will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sisters-in-law, her niece, nephews, and many friends. Memorial visitation will take place at MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday April 13th from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 3:00 P.M.
